4 Under 40 Winners Honored by Emerging Leaders of United Way of Lake County January 19, 2023, During Evening Reception at The Everly

Mentor, OH (January 25, 2023) – The Emerging Leaders of United Way of Lake County recognized the recipients of their fourth annual “4 Under 40” young professional award winners honoring Lake County’s best and brightest during an evening reception Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 6 pm – 8 pm at The Everly in Mentor.
A crowd of nearly 200 turned out in support of the 2022 award winners who were honored during an evening that included heavy appetizers and drinks.
Winners included Tim Flenner, Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking, at ErieBank; James Schleicher, Financial Advisor & Staff Manager at Western & Southern Financial Group / Team IBB; Bryan Thomas, Financial Adviser at Lighthouse Advisers; and Alex Zinni, Founder and CEO of Alpha Key Digital.
According to United Way of Lake County President and CEO Dione DeMitro, who spoke at the event, “Lake County has so many outstanding young professionals and the selection process is always a challenge, especially this year given the record number of nominations received.”
Nominees were submitted by members of the community, and all were required to live in Lake County and fall between the ages of 21- 40 years of age during the year ending December 31, 2022.
The winners were determined by a rubric scoring process based on their hard work and achievements in four areas: leadership, community involvement, entrepreneurship, and professional accomplishment. The process is blind, so nominees and those who nominated them were unknown during the evaluation and scoring process.
According to Emerging Leaders’ 2023 chair Kerry Jonke of Lakeland Community College, “Our mission is to be a catalyst for change in the lives of Lake County youth through leadership, advocacy, knowledge and education. We work to facilitate change that will create tomorrow’s leaders like those honored tonight.”
