Get to Know Jim
Jim Levine owns the Express Employment Professionals with offices in Mentor and Lyndhurst, Ohio. Express Employment is a workforce management solutions firm with 850 locations worldwide. For more than a decade, Jim has led the Mentor office with a focus on strengthening the local economy by connecting people to meaningful employment and helping businesses succeed. Jim’s wife, Robin, operates the Lyndhurst location.
Prior to entering the workforce management industry, Jim spent more than 25 years in the retail automobile business, serving as Dealer Principal of Shaker Saab and Shaker Saab Brook Park. In 2008, he sold his dealerships and went on to hold leadership roles with the Bernie Moreno Companies before launching his Express Employment Professionals office in 2015.
Jim is deeply committed to community leadership and believes that federated giving is the most efficient and impactful model for addressing community needs. He views United Way as uniquely equipped to understand Lake County’s challenges and to allocate resources strategically to ensure residents receive the support they need.
Jim believes, “Strong communities aren’t built by isolated efforts—they’re built through aligned purpose. United Way brings that alignment to life.”
His community involvement includes serving as Chair of the Board of Directors for Forbes House, Lake County’s domestic violence shelter, and as a Director of Leadership Lake County, where he also co-chairs the Alumni Committee. Jim is a Past President and Life Trustee of Gross Schechter Day School and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Willoughby Western Lake County Chamber of Commerce, where he continues his work on the Workforce Development Committee.
Jim is a proud alumna of The Ohio State University, where he studied English, Photography, and Technical Theater. He also owns a boutique photography business specializing in portraits, headshots, and fine art photography. He enjoys theater, music, cycling, flying his antique airplane, and traveling. Jim and Robin have three adult children and one grandchild.
