Emerging Leaders of United Way of Lake County Accepting Grant Funding Requests
Mentor, OH (May 20, 2019) – The Emerging Leaders of United Way of Lake County (formerly known as the Young Leaders) are accepting grant funding requests from agencies and programs that directly impact the lives of youth in Lake County. Applications are being accepted from June 3, 2019 through July 1, 2019 at 5:30 pm.
The mission of the Emerging Leaders is to be a catalyst for change in the lives of Lake County youth through leadership, advocacy, knowledge and education in order to facilitate positive behaviors that will create tomorrow’s leaders. They work toward this, in part, via the support of 501(c)(3) and nonprofit organizations in Lake County with grants that promote a similar mission geared toward youth.
Parties interested in applying for funds must fill out a grant application form which can be found on United Way of Lake County’s website at www.uwlc.org/emerging-leaders-grant-program. Questions should be directed to Jodi Matsko via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 440-639-1236.
Organizations and agencies selected to receive grants will be announced at the Emerging Leaders annual Golf Outing Fundraiser on August 30, 2019 at Black Brook Golf Course in Mentor.
This is the Emerging Leaders fourth grant funding cycle since it was established in 2014 by a core group of United Way of Lake County volunteers to positively impact the lives of youth through the philanthropic efforts of giving, advocating and volunteering.
The group raises donations throughout the year to support their grant funding program through membership fees, speaker engagements, and their annual Golf Outing fundraiser. Funds raised are also used to help advance the goal of engaging, empowering, mentoring and supporting the youth of our community in the achievement of their goals.
The group welcomes new members interested in volunteering their time to impact lives in the community. To learn more about the Emerging Leaders, visit United Way of Lake County’s website at www.uwlc.org/emerging-leaders or contact Jodi Matsko at 440.639.1236 or via email at email@example.com.
