Judge Mark J. Bartolotta, Lake County Probate Court
Judge Mark J. Bartolotta graduated from The University of Akron in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance. He graduated from Cleveland- Marshall College of Law in 1992 with his Juris Doctorate degree. In the fall of 1992, Judge Bartolotta was hired at the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office. While there, he worked as a trial attorney in the civil, juvenile, and criminal divisions for over twenty years. During the last ten years of his service with the prosecutor’s office, Judge Bartolotta was the Major Felony Prosecutor. In that capacity, he was responsible for bringing to justice the most violent, heinous criminals in the county. His typical caseload included murders, rapes, robberies, burglaries, drug trafficking, and white collar crime. In September 2013, Governor John Kasich appointed Judge Bartolotta to the bench of the Lake County Probate Court. In November 2014, Judge Bartolotta was elected by the citizens of Lake County to retain his position as Judge of the Lake County Probate Court. In 2020, he was re-elected to that bench where he still currently serves.
