For Most Taxpayers, up to $300 of Donations to Charity are Deductible in 2020
On March 27, 2020, Congress enacted The CARES Act, which created a $300 charitable deduction for Americans who do not itemize their taxes. The new charitable deduction allows most Americans to deduct donations to charities from their taxes when they file their taxes for 2020. Eligible taxpayers can deduct up to $300 in charitable contributions! Your tax advisor is the best source for this information should you wish to verify that you qualify.
