United Way of Lake County 2024 Rally 'Round our Neighbors Online Raffle
-Official Contest Rules-
1. United Way of Lake County is also referred to as UWLC throughout the contents of these contest rules.
2. Proceeds raised from the raffle contests described herein stay local benefiting Lake County residents through United Way of Lake County’s grant allocation program.
3. HOW THE RAFFLE CONTEST WORKS:
There are two (2) contest raffles, each offering a different selection of raffle prizes. You may participate in as many contest raffles as you like and may buy as many entries for each prize as you like. Entry rates are listed next to each raffle prize.
4. You must be 18 years of age or older at the time of purchasing raffle entries to qualify for participation. You must, however, be 21 years of age or older to purchase entries for any of the prizes where liquor or alcohol are provided as part of the prize raffle basket. The 50/50 Raffle is open only to individuals who are of legal age of majority in their jurisdictions of residence (and at least eighteen (18) years of age) at the time of purchase.
5. Two (2) separate 50/50 raffles will be available to purchase entries for. One will run during each of the raffle dates listed below under rule number seven (7). The winner of each 50/50 raffle will receive cash equal to half of the proceeds raised from this prize.
6. Odds of winning are based on the number of entries each raffle prize receives.
7. Raffle Contest Dates:
Raffle Contest #1: This contest begins April 9, 2024 at 12:05 am and ends April 22, 2024 at 11:59 pm. Selection of the winners is automated and winners will be announced on or about April 23, 2024.
Raffle Contest #2 This contest begins April 23, 2024 at 12:05 am and ends May 7, 2024 at 11:59 pm. Selection of the winners is automated and winners will be announced on or about May 8, 2024.
8. Winners will be notified by email - and may also be notified by phone - of the dates that prizes may be picked up from United Way of Lake County at 9285 Progress Parkway, Mentor, Ohio, 44060. We are unable to ship raffle prizes. Winners must present a valid Photo I.D. along with the email they were sent informing them of their win before the winning prize is provided.
9. Participation in the Contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Contest Rules.
10. Should any prize be unavailable at the time of awarding, UWLC will refund winner a dollar amount equal to the dollar amount they spent on the purchase of raffle entries for that raffle prize.
11. UWLC will provide appropriate documentation to winners only if applicable, based on the prize awarded (ex. IRS 1099 form for the amount of winnings).
12. All federal, state, and local laws apply.
13. By entering any of the raffle contests, you authorize UWLC to contact you by phone, automated phone equipment and/or pre-recorded messages, mail, and email.
14. By entering, winners consent to the promotional use of their names and likenesses without additional compensation. Winners acknowledge that UWLC shall have the right to use winner’s name, likeness and voice in promoting that he/she is the winner, in print, broadcast, online, and social media.
15. Winners expressly release and hold harmless United Way of Lake County and Women United members, employees, parents, partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents or contractors and their employees, board members, officers, advertising agencies, directors and all others associated with the development and execution of this contest and/or use of the prizes, including, without limitation, liability for personal injury, damage or loss or misdirection of any prize, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the awarding, delivery, acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of any prize, participation in this Contest or in any activity or travel related thereto or from computer downloading any Contest information from and against any and all liability and claims, demands, and/or liability of any nature whatsoever that winner has or claims to have relating to the contest herein, and without limitation, any and all known or unknown claims for damages or injuries arising out of said contest, whether founded in fact or in law.
16. UWLC is the sole judge of all matters pertaining to this contest and reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change the rules and/or discontinue, cancel, modify or suspend the contest(s) at any time without notice. All decisions by United Way of Lake County are final.
17. UWLC reserves the right, in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant it finds to be tampering with the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation with these Official Rules. The decisions of United Way of Lake County are final and binding in all respects.
