Celebrity Server to be Held March 14, 2024

United Way of Lake County to Host their Largest Annual Fundraiser, Celebrity Server on March 14, 2024

Mentor, OH (February 3, 2024) –  United Way of Lake County (UWLC) is hosting Celebrity Server, their largest annual fundraiser on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm at the American-Croatian Lodge in Eastlake.

The popular St. Patrick’s Day-themed event, presented by Dworken & Bernstein, will feature a full corned beef and cabbage lunch with all the fixings along with penne pasta marinara. Guests have the opportunity to win a large variety of prizes from their basket raffle, 50/50 raffle, wheelbarrow of liquor raffle, and additional fun and games. A dessert dash is also planned.

Radio personality Jeremy James, best known as the host of the Morning show at Mix 97.1 will serve as the DJ, while local personality and host Ryan Gilkerson will serve as the afternoon’s emcee.

The event works to raise funds in support of Lake County’s most vulnerable residents. Each Celebrity Server will be working to earn tips from their table of guests in a variety of ways over and above table service. Some sell home-baked goods, others may be challenged by their guests to dance an Irish jig, recite an Irish limerick, reveal an embarrassing fact about themselves, and the list goes on.

Registration is $40 per person and $360 for a table of nine and is available at uwlc.org/cs-2024 or by calling 440.639.1107. The organization is also looking for prize donations and sponsors.
