United Way of Lake County's Women's Leadership Council Grant Program

The Women's Leadership Council (WLC) began its first annual grant awards program in 2015. A panel of Women's Leadership Council volunteers review grant applications from nonprofit agencies and organizations for programs that directly impact the lives of women and girls in Lake County. After careful review of these, visits and interviews with the nonprofit agencies and organizations are conducted by volunteers who ultimately decide which programs will be awarded funds. Over the last four years, the WLC has proudly awarded grants totalling $85,199, which includes the 2018 grants that were distributed on June 13, 2018.

The grant program supports 501c3 and non-profit organizations in Lake County with grants that promote the WLC mission of uniting and reinforcing traits that keep women and girls of all ages in our own community strong.

Submissions for our 2019 Grant Awards program will not begin until sometime around February 1, 2019. Please check back with us here on or about this date.
