The Women’s Leadership Council of United Way of Lake County works to positively impact the lives of women and girls through the philanthropic efforts of giving, advocating, and volunteering.
- Our purpose begins by helping females of all ages and backgrounds, from young girls through adulthood and into senior stages of life.
- It is our desire to engage and empower women in this community to work together and make Lake County stronger.
- It is our goal to create a network of women who can offer their time, experience, and resources to improve the lives and opportunities for women and girls in this community.
- It is our obligation to give back to other women; helping raise them up to achieve their goals.
About Us - Mobilizing the Power and Strength of Women
The concept of United Way of Lake County's Women's Leadership Council is based on the recognition of women as a powerful philanthropic force. The council is grounded in the idea that addressing the most critical needs of Lake County women and girls lifts the community as a whole and creates a better life for us all. Members stand up, unite and take action on issues that hit closest to home by advocating, educating, giving and volunteering.
The Women's Leadership Council is a dynamic group of women who ignite positive change and impact community - particularly in the areas of education, income and health. Our goal is to continue to grow in diversity to represent a variety of ages, ethnic backgrounds, professions and interests with the shared belief in the work of United Way of Lake County's Women's Leadership Council.
Please join us today and help us realize this goal.
The women who serve on United Way of Lake County's Women's Leadership Council are impressive, but what really sets this group apart is the freedom members have to invest their time, professional expertise and talent to advance the causes of girls and women in Lake County they feel passionate about.
As a member, the amount of time you have to invest is up to you. Some members serve on committees, some volunteer for heartwarming causes and others join simply to advocate on our behalf while enjoying social events and the friendship of other members. Whatever your interest level, there is nothing like the "feel good" moments our members get knowing their involvment is positively impacting the lives of other girls and women in need here in Lake County.
