MENTOR, Ohio - United Way of Lake County distributed 648 hams as part of the 2015 Feed Lake County Campaign Thursday morning to 48 food pantries across the county. The hams will then be distributed to families in need in time for Easter.
The need for food in Lake County continues to grow as 2-1-1 reported 10,879 calls for food in 2014, which was an increase from 8,342 calls for food in 2013.
The 648 hams will provide meals for nearly 3,900 people.
