March 19, 2015 - Mentor, OH - More than 30 local restaurants have agreed to donate a portion of their total day sales today to help raise money for United Way's Feed Lake County as part of a county-wide Dine to Donate.
We encourage everyone to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner at one of the below listed restaurants in order to increase funds for a worthy cause.
The need for food in Lake County continues to grow as 2-1-1 reported more than 10,000 calls for food in 2014, which was an increase from 8,342 calls for food in 2014. One in every six residents in Lake County struggles with hunger.
Dine to Donate is part of United Way of Lake County's annual spring food drive, Feed Lake County, which kicked off on March 1 and will run until mid-April. During this time, we ask companies, organizations and individuals to help us run food drives to help more than 50 local food pantries distribute meals to those in need.
So far, more than 80 companies and organizations have signed up to help run food drives for Feed Lake County.
