The News-Herald: Lake County students conclude program to determine $10,000 in United Way allocations

Posted April 12, 2015 - Mentor, OH - A group of about two dozen students from various Lake County school districts met April 12 to finalize $10,000 of United Way allocations to various social service organizations.

Youth United Way, run by the Young Leaders of Lake County United Way, had been meeting every other week since Jan. 25 to learn more about the organizations that potentially would receiving a portion of the funding.

Eleven organizations were under consideration and eventually the students decided to fund eight of them.
